This season, Emporio Armani’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection embraces the spirit of travel and wanderlust. “Travel is a vital aspect of the Emporio Armani identity”, and the collection does not disappoint. Throughout the collection, lightness and ease carry the theme effortlessly by way of shifting colour palettes that blend in seamlessly with natural tones.

For womenswear, this element dances fluidly across tailored pieces and flowing silhouettes that offer ease of movement and comfort. Jackets and blazers (as well as trousers) are traced with a softer outline or are teamed with sarongs. Meanwhile, translucent fabrics lend a delicate touch to smart blouses whilst emphasising the notion of lightness. And as the collection progresses, glistening fabrics and shimmery embroidery take centre stage, materialising as ultra-feminine gowns, tops and trousers that give an ethereal other-worldly vibe. All the while, Armani chose sandals and flats over heels to convey the spirit of easy elegance.

On the other hand, menswear sees Armani embark on a more playful rendition of travel. At the heart of this collection, "choosing clothes and accessories to throw on without too much thought" becomes a focal point. Lightness is conveyed through the notion of an elegant summer uniform. These transpire as deconstructed blazers and pleated trousers; and shirts and trousers cut from the same fabric. In addition, a handful of activewear pieces complete the Armani summer wardrobe. Elsewhere, bold details such as slits, cuts and vertical openings that reveal the skin draw attention to the theme of the collection.
