Traditional floral batik, as well as beautiful familiar intricate designs, native floral-inspired motifs, geometrical patterns and elements interpreted into modern silhouettes, are all featured in the latest Raya 22 collection.
“I was approached by one of the batik block maker craftsmen last year, asking if I would like to purchase some of these old vintage batik blocks that he had revived during the lockdown period. They were so beautiful and intricate. I knew immediately then that I had to get them to support their work and revisit some of these elements that play an important role in the history of batik patterns and apply them respectfully into our own designs,” shares Fern Chua.
Each design crafted is unique to anything in the market, preserving the elegance that never goes out of fashion. The line of batik creations is best paired with your accessories to go with them.
