Balenciaga presents their Summer 2022 collection with a special episode from The Simpsons.

It's not everyday one gets to see the entire cast of The Simpsons dressed to the nines in high fashion, but for Balenciaga's Summer 2022 collection, guests were treated to a special 10 minute episode of the iconic cartoon with the main protagonists walking down the runway dressed in ... you guessed it ... Balenciaga. The cheeky episode saw several funny and relatable moments such as Homer Simpson struggling to pronounce the brand's name and Marge Simpson having a fashionable faux pas in her €19,000 dress. The episode also featured Justin Bieber, Anna Wintour and Kim Kardashian seated front row while the cast of The Simpsons walked the runway.

Held at the Théâtre du Châtelet, the entire Summer 2022 presentation was set up like a premier to a movie, complete with flashing lightbulbs at a red carpet event. Here, the event becomes the show, with friends, models and team members wearing the Summer 2022 collection posing for pictures before being ushered into the theatre to watch the The Simpsons | Balenciaga. This season, an elegant mix of daywear, streetwear and evening wear dominated the collection in both slim and oversized silhouettes. Bright colours punctuated the predominantly black collection as standout accessories while the polarising Crocs shoe is reinforced into a metal-fortifed platform—Elliot Page sports the look effortlessly. Sustainable practices were also continued this season, represented by upcycled materials such as denim, fine textiles and leather to name a few. Below, our favourite looks from the show.
