All In The Family

Born on November 22nd, 2001, Nair’s relationship with fashion wasn’t entirely accidental. Her mother modelled in her younger years and remains connected to the fashion scene today. “One of my fondest memories is actually with my younger sister—we used to put on fashion shows for our parents every single night before bed … So in a way, fashion was never something accidental, it always existed even before I actively sought out to pursue it,” she explains. This early exposure might have planted the seeds, but Nair’s path was far from linear.

Armed with a degree in Business Psychology, she brings an analytical depth to her work that extends beyond the surface. “I love understanding people, behaviour, and why we make the choices we do. And honestly, psychology and fashion aren’t worlds apart. Both are about expression, perception, and confidence.”

Currently the creative director of BAZAAR, Aziz has been helming architecture, fashion, and design magazines for two decades now, and he’s been doing it in two languages to boot. Citing Rei Kawakubo, Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier as his earliest fashion gurus, this amateur poet believes that nobody deserves an ugly pair of shoes.
