Longines Celebrates Daiyan Trisha & Sharifah Rose

Celebrating Women’s History Month, BAZAAR and Swiss watchmaker Longines celebrate four exceptional Malaysian women—Daiyan Trisha, Sharifah Rose, Siti Saleha and Tyra Kamaruzzaman—whose grace, talent, and success embody the very maxim that elegance truly is an attitude.

Daiyan Trisha & La Grande Classique de Longines

Singer, songwriter and actor Daiyan Trisha is a versatile performer. She continues to inspire her legion of fans through her impressive body of work. Most recently, she found success with her turn as the smart yet rebellious Mia in the hit TV series Projek: High Council (Astro).

Daiyan finds a kindred spirit in the timeless and versatile La Grande Classique de Longines watch. Launched in 1992, La Grande Classique de Longines is designed for both men and women. Thus, the watch comes in six different sizes (Ø 24, 29, 33, 36, 37 and 38 mm). Though traditionally presented with a steel case, the watch also comes in models set with diamonds or made out of yellow or pink PVD.

Slim Silhouette

A thing of beauty, La Grande Classique de Longines is distinguishable by its slim case. Also, its caseback is uniquely designed to provide the lugs for its bracelet.

Truly versatile, La Grande Classique de Longines watch offers a multitude of dial options. These include vibrant hues and elegant white mother-of-pearl or classic black, as well as dials in blue, brown, silver, or gold. Subsequently, each dial is enhanced with a sunray, lacquer or flinqué finish. Meanwhile, hour markers are decorated with Roman numerals, painted indices or dazzling diamonds.

With its classic spirit and timeless style, La Grande Classique de Longines is a fitting companion for the woman who values authenticity.

Known for her sunny disposition, Sharifah Rose shares the very traits that define the Longines Dolce Vita collection: elegance, warmth and glamour.

An Ode To The Italian Spirit

Created in 1997, much like its name Longines DolceVita is a tribute to the sweet Italian way of life. Originally, the watch takes inspiration from a 1920s model. While maintaining its characteristic rectangular case, the Longines DolceVita is now updated with a new sectorised dial. It’s a design touch that effectively reflects its Art Deco origin.

In this latest iteration, the Longines DolceVita dial stands out with its subtle balance of silver tones and geometric sections. Arabic or Roman numeral hour markers at positions 3, 6, 9 and 12 complete the look. Then, a central crosshair anchors the dial, where slender hour, minute and second hands reside, brushed in the brand’s signature blue. True to the expressive spirit of la dolce vita, the watch now carries an extended selection of interchangeable straps. These include new leather variations in white, blue and golden hues.
