Louis Vuitton Unveils The New Tambour Horizon Light Up Connected Watch

LV Tambour Horizon Light Up

Louis Vuitton’s Tambour Horizon Light Up is now available in three models: Polished Steel, Matte Black and Matte Brown

Our digital lifestyle gets a luxurious upgrade courtesy of Louis Vuitton. The French maison introduces the latest iteration of its high-end connected watch, the Tambour Horizon Light Up.

Now into its third generation, Louis Vuitton reimagines, redesigns and reengineers its connected watch to deliver greater user experience, with a heavier dose of customisation and personalisation to make the Tambour Horizon Light Up truly connected to you in every possible way.

Tambour Horizon Light UpA Smooth Operator

For a start, the new silhouette is deceptively simple in its form yet breathtaking in its execution. The familiar convex profile of the original Tambour is now manipulated into a curved sapphire glass that spills seamlessly over the edge of the watch, expressing an even smoother elegance than LV’s previous connected watch. It achieves a purity of design that is testament to the high level of watchmaking the maison practises. In spite of the generous 44 mm case, the Tambour Horizon Light Up feels neither bulky nor oversized (as modelled by the stunning Sophie Turner).

The curved edge of the sapphire screen forms an animated bezel marked by the signature Louis Vuitton Monogram, illuminated by a total of 24 LEDs. Upon activation, this bezel lights up in a choreographed sequence, like a mesmerising glow-in-the-dark animated dance.

Design aside, as with the previous model, Louis Vuitton continues to put its own spin on the operating system of its connected watch, creating a custom-made OS to deliver a highly intuitive user experience via a simple system of swipes. Swipe up to access a control panel that manages a multitude of functions not limited to timers and alarms as well as music and Alipay. Swiping right opens up “My Day” that covers your daily agenda, weather, step count, heart rate and even air quality displays. Swipe to the left and you enter “My Travel” to manage travel plans, boarding passes and even 30 of Louis Vuittons expertly curated City Guides. Lastly, swiping down reveals all your notifications.

Tambour Horizon Light Up is a revolutionary digital timepiece that comes with many firsts—Louis Vuitton’s sophisticated OS is the first outside Apples own ecosystem to be accredited as MFI”, or made for iPhone”. Fret not, for the watch is also compatible with Android and HarmonyOS smartphones.
