“With an epic intro song to every episode, a dire need to continuously pan onto the next, cliff-hanging plot twists, and the suave Cillian Murphy as Thomas Selby … I don’t think there’s an explanation to why you won’t get hooked. Peaky Blinders is about the urban youth criminal gang based in Birmingham, England during the aftermath of World War I. The root of my obsession over this series would be the gangster family epic bonanza we get to experience, featuring swanky slow-mo walks away from explosions, intense arguments that justify the old English dilemma, and of course, the highlight of season two’s ending (hint, hint). You’ll get what I mean when you get to it.”
