Nine years ago, the Duffer Brothers (Matt and Ross) released Stranger Things to the world. On 27 November 2025, the adventure is crawling to a close–and we’re not ready for it. With the announcement of them splitting the final season into three parts, fans all over the world have been waiting for a sliver of news regarding the finale.
And thankfully, Netflix has just released the first teaser, providing a glimpse of the chaos and the final battle against Vecna. Set in the fall of 1987, this last season follows our favourite gang as they embark on a hunt for Vecna, who has gone missing since the opening of the Rifts. With his whereabouts unknown and the government moving into Hawkins, Eleven is forced into hiding. With the gang swirling for answers, the final battle is on the horizon, and the Upside Down is drawing the town into darkness.
As we dive into the teaser that’ll get all Stranger Things fans leaping with joy, this season will provide more details about the Upside Down. In fact, the Duffer brothers wrote a 25-page document that dives into the mythology of the alternate dimension.
Taken from an article from Netflix, “The last remaining questions that are answered in that document, we’ve punted a couple of those to have some big reveals in Season 5,” Ross Duffer previously said. “And that’s really going to affect what Season 5 is about.”

What are the release dates for Stranger Things 5?
The fifth and final season will debut in three parts in 2025, with four episodes releasing on 26 November, three episodes on Christmas and the final episode on New Year’s Eve.
