BEST KNOWN FOR … Her punk-is-not-dead aesthetic that focuses on gender, shown through her subversive collage of female figures with household objects, animals and flowers.

LOOKS TO EXPLORE … Sterling’s inspirations range from architects Alison and Peter Smithson to sculptures from Diane Simpson and vibrant tapestries from textile artist Moki Cherry, and is showcased in an exhibition Sterling conceived.

HAPPENING NOW … As Chatsworth House’s first-ever artist-in-residence, Sterling engages the senses of scent, sound and sight to present a multisensory conversation about the stately home’s 500-year history in ‘Her Grace Land’.
