No doubt, the Scottish specialise in all-things whisky. From the aroma achieved by the different casks and the planned stages of maturation down to the type of spring water added to the cask, everything here is a craft of art and science. Five hours on the road later, we drive up to the full view of the traditional Dalmore distillery in Ardtalla. After weaving through passageways within the distillery, and the dark warehouses where barrels lie maturing, we find ourselves in the fascinating library of exclusive bottles and rare vintages.
