‘An Ode to Malaysia’ by Nikola Hassan

Malaysia Day is held on 16 September every year to commemorate the establishment of the Malaysian federation on the same date in 1963. It marked the joining together of Malaya, North Borneo, and Sarawak to form Malaysia. BAZAAR is paying homage to the nation’s diversity in people, cultures and opinions. For our first installation, BAZAAR asked Nikola Hassan, Managing Director of Boutique Brand Experience Agency, Avant-X and self proclaimed patriotic Malaysian for a spin on her top five favourite Malaysian moments.

Lake Gardens. A beautiful civic space. Love that the Butterfly and Bird Parks are nearby, and the stunning Islamic Art Museum. A place to visit to “stop and smell the roses”, literally and figuratively.
