What a year 2021 is turning out to be. None of us could have foreseen where we would be right now, in the month of July, in an indefinite lockdown with above 6,000 daily COVID-19 cases. While the National Immunisation Program is seemingly on track, the reality is that we’ve got a long way to go to reach herd immunity. At the time of writing, only 13.1% of the country’s population has been vaccinated, while the target for immunising 70% of our country’s population is by the first quarter of 2022.

With the amount of bad news we’ve been hearing lately, it’s normal to not know what to do or how to react. If all you’ve managed to do lately is to get out of your bed and eat to survive, that’s perfectly acceptable. However, if you need the inspiration to get moving towards your goals, read on.

Set a routine

“Routine is always something I put first on the list because without a routine, I would actually be scrolling away on Tiktok or Instagram. I wake up early, work out, take my shower, put my make up on and spritz perfume, get dressed and get ready for work, which is just down the hallway. It’s how I started my day pre-COVID and is still how I start my mornings till this day.”
