5 Ways Pilates Instructor Siu Lim Stays Motivated in Lockdown

What a year 2021 is turning out to be. None of us could have foreseen where we would be right now, in the month of July, in an indefinite lockdown with above 6,000 daily COVID-19 cases. While the National Immunisation Program is seemingly on track, the reality is that we’ve got a long way to go to reach herd immunity. At the time of writing, only 13.1% of the country’s population has been vaccinated, while the target for immunising 70% of our country’s population is by the first quarter of 2022.

With the amount of bad news we’ve been hearing lately, it’s normal to not know what to do or how to react. If all you’ve managed to do lately is to get out of your bed and eat to survive, that’s perfectly acceptable. However, if you need the inspiration to get moving towards your goals, read on.

Goals, goals, goals

“Those will always be there in my life. Short term, long term or COVID term. Any goal is a good goal. Goal to learn a skill? Goal to spend time with family? Goal to achieve something at work? Every month, I have a schedule as to what is due and what needs to be done. That’s my month-to-month goal. Then, I have a day-to day-goal. Before I go to bed, I have a to-do list.”
