I Am Mother

This sci-fi adventure invites us to cast our minds forward to a future where humanity has become extinct. The robot Mother (voiced by Rose Byrne) raises its teenage daughter underground, and in total isolation, while planning to repopulate the planet. A blood-soaked Hilary Swank soon interrupts their secluded existence and questions Mother’s dubious claims about the outside world. Featuring reportedly breathtaking production design, the film analyses the intersection between humanity and artificial intelligence, a buzzed-about topic that has been so thought-provokingly addressed in films like Her and Ex Machina.
