If you thought that chapter had closed, Creator Jenny Han is all set to bring The Summer I Turned Pretty back to your screens with a feature film.

With the epic conclusion to Belly and Conrad’s story after the Season 3 finale last night, Creator Jenny Han had us feeling like it was the end of their story. While the finale sparked mixed reviews from fans, who hoped Han would give audiences a time jump to Belly and Conrad’s tale, this announcement is just what the fans needed. Whether you were Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah, we’re not ready to bid goodbye to our favourite characters just yet. And thankfully, Han just announced that The Summer I Turned Pretty will conclude its tale with a feature film.
The Summer I Turned Pretty: The Movie was announced by Han at the series finale celebration in Paris, France. As stated by Variety, Han confessed, “There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due. I’m so grateful to Prime Video for continuing to support my vision for this story and for making it possible to share this final chapter with the fans.”

If you were there—kicking and screaming—at the Season 3 finale, you may have noticed a subtle easter egg left by Han at the end of the episode. A handwritten note appears on screen as she thanks fans for their support, teasing a possible spin-off to the successful series, sparking hope for more adventures. “Maybe we’ll meet you again one summer in Cousins.”
