The first teaser for the sequel to the highly celebrated film The Devil Wears Prada is finally here. With Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep at the heart of it all, almost 20 years later, brings a frenzy to every fashion and movie fan. With fan favourites Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci set to make their return to the sequel, you can guarantee that we’re definitely in for a treat. Although the plot of the film is still up in the air, the 51-second trailer suggests a new and intriguing chapter for both Miranda and Andy.

Set with the iconic track “Vogue” by Madonna, the trailer brings the viewers an undeniable feeling: a nostalgic, fashionable return to the silver screen. For those who are fans of the first film will immediately recognise the use of the song from the first film. Moreover, the original book was heavily inspired by the author Lauren Weisberger’s time as an assistant to Vogue’s editor-in-chief back in the day.

In the teaser, we see Miranda striding her way into the Runway office to the elevator in a pair of studded red Valentino heels. In between all of that, we see a montage of what it’s like working in the high-stakes world of fashion—in this case, Runway. From photoshoots to dressing up models, attending high-profile events and the glitz and glam of it all, we then see Priestley in the elevator reunited with none other than Andy—an ode to the previous film. Here, we see Andy holding the elevator and entering by greeting Miranda with her name, while Miranda responds, “Took you long enough.”

With this teaser out in the world, it sets a tone for what’s to come. You can expect a high dose of high fashion, glamour, and Miranda’s infamous demeanour, all of which will surely keep you on the edge of your seat.
