What you need to know about the ‘Flavours of Thailand’ menu at the Amari Kuala Lumpur

From 2 September to 31 October 2024, Amari Kuala Lumpur is introducing its ‘Flavours of Thailand’ promotional menu at the Amaya Food Gallery. As a celebration of its heritage under the Onyx Hospitality Group, the establishment joins forces with Amari Bangkok to further elevate its gastronomic journey and Thai cuisine to the local community.

Carefully curated by Chef Boy, a consulting chef at Amari Bangkok’s ChomSindh, the menu will feature an array of Thai Signature Ala Carte creations. Renowned for his impressive culinary skills, Chef Boy earned a Michelin star in 2019, which makes sense why this collaboration will become a roaring success for any Thai food enthusiast.

Piyachart Puttawong, also known as Chef Boy, has a wealth of experience. In addition to his Michelin star in 2019, he works as a Chef Consultant and has flaunted his skills in multiple top establishments.

Chef Boy, who flew in from Bangkok, has collaborated closely with Chef Sheng, the Executive Sous Chef of Amari Kuala Lumpur, along with his culinary team. Together, they have created a captivating series of Thai signature dishes inspired by ChomSindh. Chef Boy is bringing the flavours of ChomSindh to Kuala Lumpur, introducing traditional Thai recipes that have been cherished for generations.

At the grand launch event on 29 August 2024, the ‘Flavours of Thailand’ promotion was graced by Her Excellency Ms. Lada Phumas, the Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, as the guest of honour. To celebrate the momentous occasion, a Thai cultural dance performance was on display to set the mood for the afternoon.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a celebration without tasting the highly anticipated ‘Thai Signature Ala Carte’ menu prepared by Chef Boy and the Amari Kuala Lumpur culinary team.

What’s on the menu?

Eggplant Salad

The Ala Carte menu includes an array of mouth-watering creations that will leave you wanting more.

You will find the Nareenkansaeng Stir-Fried Basil with Prawns, Seabass with Tamarind Sauce, Thai-style omelette, Steamed Seabass with Lime and Chili Sauce, Beef Green Curry, Roasted Duck Thai Red Curry, and so much more. While every dish offered a memorable experience, we thought each dish was perfectly seasoned, aromatic, and balanced in terms of flavour.

The ‘Flavours of Thailand’ promotion will run from 2 September to 31 October 2024, and it will be available daily from 11AM to 9PM. You can even catch a glimpse of him in action from 2 to 8 September 2024 at the Amaya Food Gallery.
