After an 18-month hiatus, one of the world’s biggest design fairs, the Milan Design Week, returns with much anticipation. Whether you’re a designer, artist or otherwise, this annual event is one of the most exciting things to look forward to as there are hundreds of exhibitions, installations and showrooms to explore and get inspiration from.

This year’s event, which took place from the 5th to 10th of September at the Fiera Milano Exhibition Centre, is curated by the country’s esteemed architect Stefano Boeri, whose renowned works include the Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest) a pair of sustainable residential buildings that represent urban forestation and the vertical densification of nature within the city.  See below for some noteworthy moments from the exhibition.

Recalling a fond memory from his youth, Alessandro Michele debuted the Gucci Cartoleria, a temporary pop-up fashioned after a stationery shop, which he loved to frequent when he was younger. The collections featured include writing utensils, paper and notebooks all with Gucci’s unmistakable branding.
