After an 18-month hiatus, one of the world’s biggest design fairs, the Milan Design Week, returns with much anticipation. Whether you’re a designer, artist or otherwise, this annual event is one of the most exciting things to look forward to as there are hundreds of exhibitions, installations and showrooms to explore and get inspiration from.

This year’s event, which took place from the 5th to 10th of September at the Fiera Milano Exhibition Centre, is curated by the country’s esteemed architect Stefano Boeri, whose renowned works include the Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest) a pair of sustainable residential buildings that represent urban forestation and the vertical densification of nature within the city.  See below for some noteworthy moments from the exhibition.

Designers Mariana and Gustavo Martini collaborated with innovative surfaces creator Cosentino to present the ‘O’ table – an elegant, refined, not to mention an extremely durable piece of design. Made with the Dekton® surface, the table is enhanced with mechanical qualities and resistance to chemical agents, UV rays and extreme temperatures, which do not change the colour or shape of objects.  The table is designed for residential projects and is intended to be a symbol of togetherness outdoors.
