NewJeans Unveils Collaboration With Takashi Murakami and ‘The Powerpuff Girls’

A cross-border tripartite collaboration between music and art

NewJeans, the beloved K-Pop girl group is gearing up for their next single with a teaser of the “Right Now” music video, which will be included in the group’s upcoming Japanese debut album — ‘Supernatural’, following the release of their latest “Bubble Gum” song. 

 

Surprisingly, the teaser unveiled the collaboration NewJeans had with the well-known Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and the popular Cartoon Network series ‘The Powerpuff Girls’.

Takashi Murakami who is celebrated for his distinctive superflat style and vibrant, playful aesthetic, brings his signature touch, especially the iconic rainbow flower, to this collaboration. The teaser also showed new characters that represented each NewJeans member designed by the artist himself.

The official music video for ‘Right Now’ will be released in the coming weeks. As anticipation builds for the reveal of ‘Right Now’, fans eagerly await to witness how the final production of the music video will turn out.

NewJeans is set to release the album ‘How Sweet‘ on 24 May and the album ‘Supernatural‘ in June. Following the release, the group will be hosting a meet and greet titled ‘Bunnies Camp 2024‘ at Tokyo Dome on 26 and 27 June, to thank the fans (Bunnies) for their love.
