Miranda Kerr married Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel at the end of May, but any pictures from the big day were kept firmly under wraps – until now. The model took to Instagram to share a series of pictures from her wedding day, revealing that she walked down the aisle in a Dior couture gown custom-made by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The dress was an unusually covered-up style for the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, featuring a high neckline, long sleeves and dramatic full skirt covered in appliquéd lilies. She teamed it with a pearl-encrusted headpiece designed by Stephen Jones.
The shots were originally taken by photographer Patrick Demarchelier and published in American Vogue.
“Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful wedding dress,” she told the publication, revealing that the gown was inspired by the one that Grace Kelly wore to marry Prince Ranier of Monaco.

“Grace Kelly was a real inspiration with her dress and how timeless it is,” she said, reports People. “A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery. I’ve had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back. My greatest sources of inspiration have always been Grace, Audrey Hepburn, and my grandmother, who at 80 has an effortless chic: a nice pant, a white blouse, a scarf, a little heel.”
This marks the first ever wedding dress that Maria Grazia Chiuri has designed for Dior.
“I have to be honest — she’s not a difficult fit,” the designer said. “She wanted something like a fairy tale, and she gave me this idea, to make a dress that was emotional and simple at the same time.”
