Throwing shapes along Pangkor Laut Resort’s Emerald Bay, current It-model Alicia Amin turns up the heat as she works the camera lens for this year’s Most Stylish Women shoot. “Hang on, let me try something out,” she says to our photographer, before going up on her toes (très Michael Jackson), and contorting her lithe torso like a yogi on acid. It certainly says a lot about her approach to her craft, one which has seen her go from strength to strength since Asia’s Next Top Model in 2017. “Modelling has taught me how to ‘work it’ in anything,” she says about her knack for versatility. “So it’s really broadened my choices in personal styling. It’s made me a ‘let’s throw something together, it’ll work out’ kinda person!” But with her pixie-cut hair, poetic tattoos, and ’90s tomboy-cool style, the 24-year-old is in a league of her own.
