If there is one person in Malaysia who could give Wes Anderson’s Margot Tenenbaum a run for her money, it would be Rebekah Yeoh. Often dressed in flirty peplums and Johanna Ortiz-like flounces (Rebekah’s own Insta-gallery is an inspiration for resortwear chic), her bubbly spirit couldn’t have contrasted that of Gwyneth Paltrow’s brooding bibliophile better, though there’s a side of Margot that resonates with Rebekah’s own sense of humour. “During private pockets of my day I can be quite serious, even with my humour, so I felt Margot somewhat portrayed that side of me,” she says.
