Pippa Middleton welcomed her first child, Arthur, with husband James Matthews on 15th October, 2018.
As a regular columnist for Waitrose Weekend magazine, Middleton is used to opening up about her own exercise routines. And now that she’s welcomed Arthur into the family, Middleton has finally shared the first details about her new baby, including that she’s been taking him to swimming lessons.
Instagram user @MiddletonMaven posted a snapshot of Middleton’s latest column, in which she said, “Starting my son Arthur swimming at four months old has given him confidence and enjoyment in water.” She continued, “He’s now six months old, and swimming is one of our favourite activities. The exercise helps guarantee sound daytime sleeps, and the movement has improved his digestion.”

The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister also encouraged her fans to engage in swimming, especially if they’re looking for a way to work out alongside their children. Middleton wrote, “Water activity is a great form of exercise you can do with your baby.”
Middleton has been spotted out and about with baby Arthur on multiple occasions since he was born. And understandably, Pippa’s sister was excited to welcome a cousin for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, with a rep from Kensington Palace telling reporters that Prince William and Kate Middleton “are thrilled for Pippa and James.”
