Running every weekend from 21 June through 27 July, the 2025 Volvo Padel Open is now the largest padel tournament in Malaysia, expecting to host up to 320 players. Whether you’re a newcomer picking up a padel racquet for the first time or an advanced competitor fresh off regional tournaments, there’s a place for everyone in this electrifying event.
Padel is a type of tennis played on a small court surrounded by a net or walls, usually by two teams of two people, so best believe you’re going to be smashing and running around. It is also a sport that is celebrated for its accessible, high-energy gameplay and its emphasis on doubles—encouraging teamwork and camaraderie.
This year’s tournament sees the return of key venue partners Padelground and PadelKu, and welcomes new partner Joy Division Padel, reinforcing a strong network of support for the local scene. With expanded categories, innovative match formats, and a strong focus on inclusivity and new talent, this year’s tournament promises to be more dynamic and community-driven than ever.
Patricia Yaw, Marketing Operations & Public Relations Director of Volvo Car Malaysia, described the event as an embodiment of Volvo’s values: “When players think of Volvo, they think of padel. This sport shares our spirit of social inclusivity, tight-knit community, innovation, and technology.” Yaw also emphasised Volvo’s aim to create a richer experience this year, with exciting prizes, expanded court time for beginners, and complimentary clinics by seasoned coaches.
In addition to the tournament, participants will receive a custom Volvo sports kit, access to exclusive coaching clinics, court-side seats for the grand finals, and exclusive Volvo hospitality experiences. These offerings aim to enhance not just the competition but the sense of belonging and shared passion among players and fans alike.

Registration Details
Interested players can register from 3 June to 3 July, or until slots are filled. Given last year’s overwhelming response, early registration is encouraged.
