Greetings yet again, all music lovers! Bored of your May playlist? June is coming to an end, so you know what it means—time for our monthly playlist wrap-up. It’s time to update those tunes. Before diving into the music, let’s have a quick recap of what’s been happening this month.
What went down in June.
Let’s start with with the world of K-pop. Our favourite K-pop rapper, singer, and dancer, Lisa of Blackpink, has gifted us with her new solo single “Rockstar.” This track combines two things we love most: music and fashion. In the music video, Lisa served us with edgy cyberpunk looks. Consider the target audience reached.
Next, TikTok’s favourite It girl, Sabrina Carpenter, who had just released her new single entitled “Please Please Please” made her runway debut at Vogue World 2024. Inspired by 1940s fashion, she was dressed by Jacquemus in a red-and-white striped matching bathing suit and sarong. While on the topic, Aya Nakamura opened the show with a stunning performance, and Bad Bunny made a cameo with a medley of his top hits.

Let’s talk festivals and concerts! A lot of fun has come our way and more is coming. For Malaysians, we saw performances by IU, Atarashii Gakko, Treasure, and more. If you missed them, don’t worry! International artists are on their way with announcements of NE-YO, Bring Me The Horizon, Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars, and Suho of EXO coming soon.

Other than local concerts, you may also travel for music. Tickets for Rolling Loud Thailand happening on November 22nd-24th are finally available for purchase. Headliners include A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Tyla, and Wiz Khalifa. Meanwhile, Lollapalooza, taking place from August 1st to 4th in Chicago, released more of its lineup and schedule, ramping up the anticipation.
