Thomas Perazzi, Head of Watches and Wristwatches Department at Christie’s Geneva
Watch enthusiasts should visit… Musée Patek Philippe and Musée International d’Horlogerie in Geneva. Make a point to stop by the many little boutiques of independent watch makers, such as MB&F, and F.P. Journe.
Short retreat… I can’t seem to decide between The Bristol and Hotel President Wilson. They’re both classic and luxurious choices with top-notch service.
Geneva, the watchmaking capital of the world
Brunch by the beach… La Buvette des Bains is where you’d want to be and to have a chill lunch on Lake Geneva.
Geneva is… a cruise, city and mountain holiday all in one. Be prepared to enjoy it all.
Dining musts… Italian restaurant Il Lago at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues for their truffle carpaccio.
Signature experiences… Take a boat trip on Lake Geneva because a city with a lake needs to be visited from both the water and the land. I take a walk by Cathédrale Saint-Pierre in the Old Town everyday as it is so close to my office. Take a stroll back in time at Parc des Bastions and admire the famous Reformation Wall.
