Margot Robbie is reportedly in talks to produce and star in a new Barbie movie, following the sale of the rights by Sony earlier this year.

A feature film about the iconic doll has been in development at Sony for a while now, with rumours that Amy Schumer would play the lead and later Anne Hathaway, after it was reported Schumer had scheduling conflicts.

However after Sony reverted the rights back to Mattel, it appears the brand has found a new studio partner in Warner Bros. Reports now say that Margot Robbie, whose production company LuckyChap has a first look deal with Warner Bros, will produce and star in the film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is also interested in joining the project.
