The highly-anticipated Gucci Cruise 2024 show is coming to you live from Seoul at 7 PM on 16 May 2023 (MYT).
Are you ready? Italian luxury label Gucci is unveiling its Cruise 2024 collection in a historic landmark in Seoul, Korea – the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Infused with rich heritage and history, the prestigious location creates the perfect backdrop to Gucci’s Cruise 2024 collection as a way to celebrate the 25-year milestone of its first flagship boutique in Seoul in 1998.
As a meaningful homage to the richness and beauty of South Korean cultural heritage, the show will be held in front of the Palace.
Fun fact: The main hall of the Gyeongbokgung Palace is renowned for being the main venue for royal ceremonies and for receiving dignitaries during the Josean Dynasty (1392 – 1910).
Taken from a statement, Marco Bizzarri, President and CEO of Gucci stated: ”Gucci was born in Florence, surrounded by history, art and craftsmanship, and from there it began a journey to bring the House’s vision of beauty across the globe. A journey that started in Korea 25 years ago with the opening of our first boutique in Seoul, and grew throughout time, strengthening our relationships with local communities, supporting local talents, and creating a bond between cultures through the preservation of the unique heritage of this country. This is why we are honoured to present our Gucci Cruise 2024 collection here: celebrating the past as inspiration for the future.”
The best part? Gucci has also announced its three-year commitment to support the conservation and restoration of the Gyeongbokgung Palace under the Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA).
Mark your calendars, and be sure to tune in at 7 PM. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for Gucci later today.
