Here’s hoping you haven’t already forked out for one of the Jacquemus ‘Chiquito’ bags, as Balenciaga has just introduced the street style set to yet another micro accessory that nobody knew we needed.
A cross-body bag by the Parisian fashion house has landed online in order to meet your smart phone or water bottle carrying needs – a chic upgrade on the work commute tote bag that’s for sure.
The logo-emblazoned accessory is designed to imitate a shopping carrier and comes in white, black and grey with red soon to drop online.
Despite being touted online as a ‘shopping phone holder’, models graced the autumn/winter 19/20 runway with water bottles tucked into the luxe accessory.
While it may also prove a useful, albeit expensive, way to prevent forgetting to take your reusable coffee cup out with you.
Though it’s not the first tongue-in-cheek design from creative director Demna Gvasalia, as the brand graced the headlines courtesy of its ‘Arena Extra-Large Shopper Tote Bag’ which bore striking resemblance to the humble Ikea carrier.
The Swedish furniture giant was sure to have been left surprised when the rather familiar looking tote made its runway debut during the spring/summer 17 men’s show.
But it certainly won’t have affected sales, as the French luxe label was asking for a cool £1,365 in comparison to Ikea’s £2.50 offering.
Well, it was certainly one way to ensure shoppers remember to take their reusable bag to the supermarket.
