The re-engineered diffuser with longer prongs allows deeper reach into the hair while defining curls and waves

“We are never satisfied with where we are with our technology,” says Sam Kyle Burrowes, advanced design engineer at Dyson. As part of the design team that developed the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, these are words that carry real weight as to how tirelessly the brand works to further improve the way their existing machines perform.

But the development of new attachments for the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer and Dyson Airwrap styler was no small feat. Says Burrowes, “It demanded significant research, design, and development, as well as countless hours of testing across a diverse range of hair types.” Just what kind of research, design, and development, you ask? Well, the kind that tested on nearly 1,625 kilometres of hair in a global hair study.
