Bella Hadid Is Now Fully Blonde, And Possibly Going Blonder

Bella Hadid has been slowly lightening her hair for weeks—but now the supermodel can officially be dubbed a blonde, not a brunette. Hadid stepped out in New York City last night showing off her new hair color after spending the day with hair colorist Jenna Perry. The shiny, honey-blonde color is a major departure from her signature chocolate-brown.

Hadid, who was born a natural blonde, has been a brunette for years. She’s played with blonde wigs (as well as fake bangs) on various photoshoots, but has never strayed too far from the dark color since it distinguishes her from her sister Gigi Hadid. “I just have a darker personality,” Hadid told Allure back in 2016. “And my sister being blonde and me being brunette, it’s a good separation.”

Hadid has been contemplating going blonde again since the 2016 interview. “I put a blonde wig on and think it would be fun to go back, but I’m happy with my hair. Blondes are so angelic. My sister can get away with anything,” she said.

Perry, who also colors the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whitley, Ashley Olsen, and Martha Hunt, previously took Hadid slightly darker for the Victoria’s Secret runway show in November 2018.

Hadid took her new hair color out for a spin for dinner at New York City restaurant Sant Ambroeus in SoHo. She wore the Hesperios Lou tank with ribbed knit detail and matching Lou bel ribbed silk pencil skirt from the brand’s upcoming fall collection, with a cream cardigan layered on top, red sunglasses, a Michael Kors logo handbag, and leopard heels. She also wore the Svelte Metals 3.5″ Simone hoops in gold.
