Since its launch in September 2017, Fenty Beauty has transformed the make-up market as much as our make-up bags, setting a new benchmark for inclusive beauty and garnering a social media army like few others. So, it seems only fitting that Rihanna’s next move for the beauty brand would be into skincare. Enter, Fenty Skin.
Page Six report that according to a trademark listed under ‘Fenty Skin’ on the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s website and filed on 25 March 2019, Rihanna is working on a new suite of skincare products.

News about the 31-year-old moving into skincare surfaced as early as 2017, when a fan unearthed a trademark registration for a brand named ‘House of Fenty’. According to that application, the line would produce “cosmetics, non-medicated skincare preparations, namely creams, lotions, gels, toners, and cleansers”.
It’s thought that this could have been in reference to her then forthcoming launch of Body Lava highlighters, which were released under Fenty Beauty last March.
The new trademark registration, however, is filed specifically under the new name ‘Fenty Skin’, for “medicated and non-medicated skincare, soap, body care and personal care products (excluding colour cosmetics, perfume and other fragrance-only products), and related accessories such as kits, tools and applicators”.
As Page Six reports, the trademark application has only just been approved and is yet to be sent to an attorney – something that can take up to three months, so we’re not expecting an imminent launch.
We’ll update drop dates and details here as they come, but for now keep an eye on Fenty’s feed for evidence of Rihanna’s complexion perfection which may hint at the forthcoming products.
