It’s official! Francis Kurkdjian has been appointed as the new Parfums Christian Dior perfume creative director. Taking over his predecessor, François Demachy who held the role from 2006, we are excited to see what new, exhilarating and genius concoctions Kurkdjian will add to the renowned Parfums Christian Dior legacy. 

An undisputed visionary, Kurkdjian has been composing icon status perfumes ever since he was 25 years old—his first men’s fragrance being the Le Male by Jean-Paul Gaultier, which successfully launched his career as a perfumer. It led to him opening his own fragrance atelier in 2001 and then birthing his brand Maison Francis Kurkdjian in 2009, which he co-founded with Marc Chaya. His new appointment at Parfums Christian Dior will see him wear multiple hats as he continues to uphold the role of artistic director and perfumer creator at Maison Francis Kurkdjian
