It’s been quite the London Fashion Week for Victoria Beckham. After presenting her spring/summer 2020 show yesterday – and celebrating with “a lot of wine last night” – she today debuted her beauty brand to the media.
At the launch event for Victoria Beckham Beauty the entrepreneur, together with her business partner Sarah Creal, explained how they “had this vision of wanting to create a beauty collection that was the future”, one which will cover colour cosmetics, skincare and even wellness products.

“It’s not about trying to make ourselves look any different, any younger,” Beckham told us. “I’m not going to be coming out with products saying they’re going to get rid of wrinkles – because that’s bullshit.” You won’t find hope in a jar, but luxury formulas that will make you feel as good as they look. (Naturally, they epitomise chic.)
She added: “I think we should celebrate who we are, and be the best, most powerful version of ourselves and celebrate that and celebrate each other, and as women be strong together.”
The first way to wear VB Beauty is on your eyes. Think satin matte eyeshadow bricks, crystal infused shadow toppers and satin kajal liners.

“It made sense for us to start with an eye story, because that is something that is very signature to me – a smoky, sexy eye,” she explained. Next month will see a lip category launch, and the following drop? “Is even more exciting,” she teased.
For sure, there’s much more to come. “Sarah has a big, big plan. And a big strategy,” Beckham revealed.
By selling direct to consumer via her own platform (and boutiques), and “gathering [her] community” via social media, we wouldn’t be surprised to see some crowd sourcing, too. Girl power has grown up.
