Christian Louboutin Celebrates 30 Years of the Signature Red Sole

It’s a Loubi world, and Christian Louboutin is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the iconic Red Sole.

The iconic Red Sole is a distinctive signature of renowned shoemaker Christian Louboutin and remains one of the most coveted shoes all over the world. This year, the Red Sole turns 30 and to celebrate, Christian Louboutin presented a dance show at one of the oldest theatrical musical institutions in France, the Opéra Comique. Choreographed by Sadeck Berrabah, the performance saw 50 dancers wearing monochrome Astribotta boots that were exclusively made for the show.

After the show, guests were ushered to the grand historical ballroom of the Opéra Comique where the Fall Winter 2023 collection was on display. This season, the collection honours the “exquisite craftsmanship that Andalusia has to offer” with a capsule collection titled “Flamencaba”. Collaborating with long-time friend of the Maison, Rossy de Palma, the collection embodies the region’s rich heritage and tradition.

In addition to the capsule, other enticing offers were also presented at the location. An ankle boot variation of the Astribotta knee-high boot (as seen on the dancers) was introduced as the core collection. Elsewhere, the presentation also showcased heavily embellished shoes in numerous styles and variation.
