Prada celebrates grand opening at the Exchange TRX
Prada has officially opened its largest boutique in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur, marking the occasion with a spectacular store opening party. Spanning an impressive 431 square meters, this new flagship store offers a luxurious shopping experience with a wide array of fine jewellery, men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, shoes, and accessories.
The boutique’s striking exterior immediately captures attention with its magnificent façade, illuminated by a captivating backlight. The crisscrossing lines in triangular shapes echo Prada’s iconic logo, creating a contemporary yet timeless look that will surely become a go-to shopping destination for fashion lovers.
Inside, guests were greeted by an interior that embodies Prada’s signature style and sophistication. The space is adorned with the iconic black and white chequered marble floor, a design element inspired by the original Prada store in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. This classic flooring sets a refined tone, complemented by green drawer units enriched with crystal details, adding a touch of modern elegance.
The boutique’s design is further enhanced by green velvet chairs and special furnishings that draw inspiration from Italian design of the 1950s, creating an inviting and luxurious ambiance. Every detail has been carefully considered to provide a unique and memorable shopping experience, embodying Prada’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
The grand opening party was glamorous, drawing an elite crowd of fashion enthusiasts, celebrities, and influencers. Thai celebrity Blue Pongtiwat made a special guest appearance, adding a touch of star power to the evening. Malaysian DJ Ashley Lau set the tone with an electrifying mix, ensuring the celebration was as vibrant and dynamic as the store.

Several key opinion leaders and influencers attended the event, including Zhen Ning, Brian See, Jack Gohr, Alton Ang, May Ho, Christinna Kuan, Mae Tan (Singapore), and Juwei Teoh. Their presence underscored the significance of the boutique’s opening and highlighted Prada’s influential position in luxury fashion.
