The Gucci CHIME Campaign Raises Awareness on Gender Equality

For a short-lived stint, the blasting trope of women’s equality was a taboo subject that was not highlighted enough. Even today, when there’s a dearth of female role models standing up for each other, women are still fighting for gender, pay, and workplace equality. Surprisingly, until today, it’s still a tough world to succeed as a woman. But, the tide is starting to turn, especially with Gucci’s campaign for gender equality.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Gucci CHIME campaign:

Gucci will be opening the next decade of impact with their Gucci CHIME organisation and a poignant video series covering the topic, of gender equality. This new video series directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy sees Gucci CHIME’s co-founder Salma Hayek Pinault alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest stars speaking about what equality means to them. From Halle Bailey to Julia Roberts, and Serena Williams, the campaign series ushered in a new decade of support for equality. Raw, emotional, and captivating, the videos are punctuated with personal anecdotes from the participants on their life experiences and hopes for the future.

“While there have been some great advances in gender equality since we founded Chime 10 years ago, there is still a lot of work to be done. It has been incredible for me to have the opportunity to meet people around the world and see firsthand the impact the campaign has had on so many lives,” said Salma Hayek Pinault, Gucci Chime Co-Founder.

She adds: “I’m overwhelmed and inspired by how many people want to participate in the change, and I feel very hopeful for the future. It’s really a fight worth having, now, more than ever.”
