Uniqlo teams up with Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen for a Spring/Summer ’26 collection.
Launching on May 22, Uniqlo’s new collection with Danish womenswear designer Cecilie Bahnsen is one of the most highly anticipated collaborations of the season. Bahnsen cut her teeth as a fashion designer, working with fashion designers Erdem Moralıoğlu in London and training under John Galliano in Paris, before founding her namesake brand in 2015. Since then, she has become known for blending femininity and functionality in her creations; the latter is a core pillar in Danish design, an approach that she has amplified to the world as her popularity grew.
This collaboration with Uniqlo follows two successful partnerships with outdoor apparel brand The North Face and Japanese sportswear brand Asics. It is a logical next step with Bahnsen’s emphasis on comfort and functionality. “I’m so happy to be collaborating with Uniqlo for the first time. I’ve always designed pieces to be lived in, worn and cherished every day, just as all Uniqlo LifeWear embodies. I’m very excited to be able to share that with so many women and girls around the world through this collection.” says Bahnsen.
She adds: “Working with Maria and Louise Thonfeldt on the campaign has felt extremely special; they so naturally embody the sisterhood at the heart of Cecilie Bahnsen and everything we hoped this collection could express.”
The Spring/Summer ’26 collection is based on the concept, Shapes of Poetry, features a line-up of dresses, tops, and skirts with Cecilie Bahnsen’s emblematic floral motifs, puffed sleeves, and billowing silhouettes. Designing for women of all ages, she also introduces childrenswear as a continuation of the adult styles, allowing for adorable matching moments between mother and daughter.
