The Croisette comes alive.
Since its inception in 1946, the Cannes Film Festival has become synonymous with luxury and glamour. It is a reputation strengthened by its 28-year partnership with Chopard; the French jeweller crafts the trophy for the prestigious Palme d’Or award and honours two rising stars with the Trophée Chopard. With Chopard setting the baseline, it comes to surprise that every watch and jewellery brand puts their best foot forward on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. This year is no different.
At the 79th Cannes Film Festival, celebrities came adorned in the world’s most breath-taking jewellery and timepieces. In 2026, diamonds emerge as a supporting character, acting as a base for show-stealing gemstone centrepieces or pieced together into intricate, glittering pieces. For the men, brooches continue to be an avenue for them to express themselves; Thai actor Win Metawin and French actor Pio Pio Marmaï incorporate understated touches of blue, while Théodore Pellerin repurposes Boucheron studs as an elegant finishing touch on his lapel.
