Make It A Cheeky Lunar New Year With The #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard

#FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard

#FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard watch, Franck Muller

Franck Muller collabs with Tokyo-based streetwear label #FR2 to give us something a little cheeky this Lunar New Year.

The #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard blends the watchmaker’s signature Vanguard with the distinctive design language of #FR2. Thus, the result gives us an edgy, fashion-forward, gender-neutral timepiece that will keep you looking cool all year round. Better yet, adding to its uniqueness, this particular model is exclusive to South East Asia.

Blending Swiss watchmaking mastery with Japanese street style cred, the monochromatic watch features a matt white dial with black hands, markings, and appliqué indices. But it’s the iconic #FR2 motif that gives the watch its character. Where it features a pair of, shall we say, playful white rabbits at seven o’clock. (Doing what rabbits are wont to do).

Consequently, the rabbit’s red eye provides the only hint of colour on the dial. In addition, the rabbit, the skeletonised obelisk hands and indices all glow in the dark courtesy of Super-Luminova.

A work of technical wizardry, for the first time ever the tonneau-shaped Vanguard case is rendered in a new carbon and glass fibre composite. The material is reserved solely for Southeast Asia-exclusive models. It combines carbon powder with glass fibres bonded with resin to produce a material that is light yet durable. The process creates a pattern of striations that is unique to each individual case. So no two watches will ever look exactly the same, adding to its allure. Also a first, the #FR2NCK MULLER Vanguard comes with a white nylon strap, emblazoned with black street-style typography.
