What is it about?
Beach Read follows January Andrews, a successful romance novelist in the grip of grief and writer’s block following the death of her father and the discovery of secrets he kept from her for years. She retreats to his beach house on Lake Michigan to prepare it for sale, only to find her college rival and now-famous literary novelist, Augustus “Gus” Everett, living next door. Who is producing it?
Yulin Kuang will adapt and direct the film adaptation of Beach Read for 20th Century Studios with Original Film producing. She was also a co-writer on Netflix’s People We Meet on Vacation—so, if you loved that one, then you’ll be obsessed with this film.
