Lee Miller and Surrealism in Britain’ &
‘Viviane Sassen: Hot Mirror’
Both will be showing until October 7 at The Hepworth Wakefield, West Yorkshire, UK.
Visitors to The Hepworth Wakefield will be transported into a dreamlike landscape of shadows, reflections, and fragmented bodies, as two exhibitions explore surrealist themes through the works of American photographer Lee Miller and Dutch artist, Viviane Sassen.‘Lee Miller and Surrealism in Britain‘ tells the story of the movement in 1930s Britain, examining how Miller cultivated creative networks among her peers, while ‘Viviane Sassen: Hot Mirror‘ considers how Sassen’s photographs use collage techniques to produce a universe that hovers between imagination and reality.
