Harris Reed

“For me as a designer I use a moodboard to dictate where my collection’s going and, as someone who works with musicians and clients, i use it to really tell the story and narrative of the project we’re about to embark on, and the story we want to tell. I look at film, books and art, then I photocopy or screenshot images that inspire me – that’s the first set of research. The next step is more personal. I take that research and start collaging all that, making art from it and putting it up on the board. The third part if finding little tactile things, like bits of fabric. All these components make the board. I always start left to right like you’re reading. There’s no right way to do it, but you have to have fun with it.”
