“I love creating a family meal at the end of the day. I plan it all the way through the day, what I’m going to do, how it’s going to look – and gives my utter pleasure to do that. Creating fragrance does the same – I’ve been working on the Zara fragrances. Not having a laboratory to work from, we’re all working with our imaginations. We’re talking in a whole new language. I’ve seen that I’m capable of far more than I was a month ago and it’s important to channel that creativity. I feel purposeful when I’m being creative. For me, my anxiety kicks in when I lose control of a situation and also when I feel worthless. I feel it kick in and I have to get myself up off my feet and do something. What happens is then that the pulsing in my chest eases and I throw myself into whatever I’m doing. I bought myself a pasta machine about eight weeks ago – and god I’m glad I did that. You can make a whole heap of pasta for a whole lot of people and it’s really fun. I’m going to spend this time learning things that I can do from home.”
