With 18 million views in the first 24 hours, this documentary has ignited a massive conversation surrounding the pressure to marry. In China, this pressure has become one of the main reasons why women avoid returning home for Chinese New Year.

The documentary beautifully showcases the power of open dialogue in being able to see both sides of the story. The women are able to see their parent’s in a new light, as the dialogue helps them realise that all the questions about marriage are coming from a place of love and care. Towards the end of the documentary, we see the women and their parents slowly trying to mend the gap between them and move forward with their lives.

“We want to tell women worldwide- Destiny can change when you have the courage to take the first step to meet halfway.” — Sandeep Seth, Vice President, Global SK-II

The stories of these three women truly celebrate women empowerment and hopefully inspire others to take the first step in shaping their destinies on their own terms.
