Annabel’s, London for… elegant extravagance

Maximalism is the central theme at this elite member’s club in London, which underwent a GBP55 million facelift and procured a spanking new address. An opulent space by interior designer Martin Brudnizki that transports you out of reality, Annabel’s is where Picasso’s Girl with a Red Beret and Pompom masterpiece, worth around GBP30 million, hangs above the reception in the entrance hall. The lavish bar is covered in De Gournay wallpaper of scenes reminiscent of those during the Mughal Empire: elephants and maharajas against fringed club chairs and velvet poufs, continuing the story of ancient charm meets modern fantasy. The basement nightclub and the bar carry an eclectic vibe inspired by the Garden of Eden, with full-height glass palm trees and gilded De Gournay foliage for an overwhelmingly beautiful space.
