More Pink October Initiatives to Support This Month!

If you didn’t already know, it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and there are plenty of organisations pulling out all the stops to create meaningful initiatives in order to raise attention to this important cause. On our end, we’ve partnered with BEAST KL on a charity afternoon tea set where 20% of all proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA). Additionally, there is a good deal of hotels hosting Pink October tea sessions as well. However, if you’re looking for other alternatives to channel your support to, check these out.

“Thanks to the encouraging response of the past collaborations, we’ve decided to make this a platform for artists. We have such an inspiring pool of young artists in Malaysia, but I specifically wanted this to be a platform for young female artists because, for me, the messages from young women seem like a whisper when really they’re loud and clear – I want that for them,” Alia shares. Working with up-and-coming artist Dhan Illiani, the collab titled ‘Sincerely, Adik’ envisions her view on the word adik as an all-encompassing, ageless and endearing term that Malaysians use. There are two items available – the printed oversized T-shirt, RM99 and sweatshirt, RM189. The collab is available exclusively on alia-b.com.
