NYC alone may sound intimidating to some, but there’s so much to explore that you might start to appreciate the ‘me’ time. Travel with an open mind, and stay at places with communal lounges or kitchens so that you get to meet like-minded travellers who may just end up being friends.

Sign up for a local art class or museum tour so that you can get to know locals. From our experience, locals give the best travel tips as they will likely help you avoid tourist traps.

Below are some activities solo travellers to the Big Apple will enjoy.
