Grace Santorini, Greece

Grace Hotels

Grace Santorini is a beautiful, seven-level boutique hotel carved out of the clifftop overlooking the caldera, with possibly one of the best views in Santorini. There’s a clean, modern interior design, with staff remembering every detail to make your stay comfortable… not forgetting an infinity pool that feels like it blends into the sea beyond.

Grace Santorini has 11 categories of accommodation split into 21 rooms, including an ultra-luxurious private villa. Most rooms have plunge pools as standard, kingsize beds, a flat screen Smart TV, Apple TV, Nespresso machine, a bar stocked with local drinks and snacks, air-conditioning, pampering kits and full-size Apivita bath products.

We recommend the Grace Suite with an ocean-facing plunge pool on the terrace, where you can admire Skaros Rock and the surrounding islands. We also love the hotel’s brilliant Bespoke by Grace service that allows guests to customise their stay with a pillow menu, choice of fragrances and bath products.

Don’t miss the opportunity to dine at Santoro, a cosy restaurant with extremely knowledgeable sommeliers whose expertise ranges from local to mainland wines. Let them choose something to complement your meal and they are likely to give you one of those rare gems you have never tried before. The restaurant serves up contemporary Greek cuisine courtesy of its award-winning chef, Spyros Agious; bespoke tasting menus can be curated based on your dietary requirements. The restaurant feels buzzy with an open kitchen, and there are also booths and outside seating that enable you to watch the sun go down as you eat. You can order light meals and cocktails by the pool, too: the ultra-fresh yellowfin tuna sandwich is one of the highlights of the menu here.

Before you begin a day of sunbathing, enjoy the five-course champagne breakfast; these feasts change frequently, so guests can try something new every day. A particular star dish was the Cretan-style pancakes with Xinomizithra cheese and thyme honey with a detox smoothie comprising locally sourced fruits.
